Class started yesterday but I was way to tired to write about it. Yesterday was kind of boring because all we did was watch videos, worksheets, and a quiz, I got a 92, (I missed 2) and Brad missed 3. I don't know what percentage that is I am not going to figure that out. I thought it was going to be a problem that I had no experience doing any thing she was teaching. When classed started we went around the room saying what experience we had and only two people had any experience. That made me fill tons better.
Today we soldered for the first time. I REALLY like it. It is like a piece of art that will be in every military personnel's hand. lol... just kidding, but it is true. It is kind of like art. You are the one solders it a certain way. It is like fingerprints. There are no two alike. You will solder different than anyone else. We soldered wires to parts, which is pretty hard. You have to have it tight enough, can't get the rubber up by the metal, and can't use to much solder. What I really like today was working on circuit board. Which is extremely hard. You have you know the parts, which a lot of them look the same. You also have to know which side is negative which side is positive, and put it in the right way. When you make a circuit board you have to fallow a certain guideline or it will not work. For instance, when you put the wire through one of the hole you bend it flat to the board and cut it to 1 mm in length. It can not go over 1 and 1/2 mm or it will not meat standards. Then you solder it. We had to work with the smallest parts anyone has ever seen. There was one part that looked like an eraser but it was only 1 mm long. There were parts smaller than that. We had to use a scope to put then on along with thing that looked like little chips. We had to solder all of the little legs that were less than 1 mm wide. It was hard to get it perfect too. When you are working on a circuit board you have to be grounded. You have to wear this strap on your wrist so you don't shock the board and burn the circuit. We have to put one together for a test next week and we have a test Monday. I hope it all goes well. In the beginning of the class today I was getting done so fast. I was all go, go, go, this morning. I hated having to sit and wait for everyone to be done because I wanted to do something else. I the work place I won't have to wait on anyone because there is always something to do. You just go to the next circuit board after you finish one. There were a few people that needed a little help but they have never solder before. That is what the class was for. There are 8 people in the class with up and there is a boy that is 19, same age as me, and his Birthday is June 28TH and mine is June 21ST. There is also a girl that is 20 but the others are 30 and older. There is a girl named Amy and a guy named Paul in my class and reminds me of my Amy and Paul in Lafayette. I miss them!! But I can't wait to start actually working on my own. I am too excited!!!

That's too funny that there is an Amy and Paul in your class! Awww. Amy showed me the pictures of your soldered wires and the circuit board. What a good lob you did! Okay, well, I have no idea what they're supposed to look like, but they looked good to me. LOL. I'm glad that you are enjoying your new job.
